THE ULTIMATUM

Henry and Layla have the perfect life. At least that's what Henry thinks.

For the past six years, he and Layla have lived together as loving boyfriend and girlfriend, without any pressure to get married. And Henry has always thought Layla was as comfortable with it as he was.

But one Saturday morning, Layla surprises Henry with a French toast breakfast and an ultimatum. Turns out, she really does want to get married. And what's worse, he only has one week to decide whether that's what he wants, too.

Henry embarks upon a week of soul-searching, advice-seeking, mall-walking and drunken golf, hoping something or somebody will give him his answers. Layla's week alternates between work stress, shopping binges with her friends and a surprise come-on from a handsome new lawyer friend who gets her thinking.

   Now, they're headed up to Maine for their friends' wedding, and if Henry doesn't propose by the time the bride throws the bouquet, it's all over. Will he make the right decision? And more importantly, after sweating it out for a week, does either of them even know what the right decision is anymore?
